Donations

Donations and community support help us offer programs and services that otherwise would not be possible. Here's how you can get involved!

The Allen Public Library appreciates and accepts monetary donations, which can be made in a variety of ways.

Honorariums and Memorials
The Library welcomes monetary donations toward the purchase of books in memory or in honor of someone. A donation of at least $25 is required for an honorarium or memorial. Donors may suggest subjects or titles to be acquired with their donation, but the Library reserves the right for the final decision. A bookplate is added to each purchased item with the name of the person being honored. Notification of the gift is sent to the person designated on the donation form.

Programming
The Library accepts donations specified for use in Youth or Adult programming. These funds are used to support programming for the age group designated on the donation form.

Other Donations
Donations also may be given to where the need is greatest, which is chosen at the discretion of the Library Director.
