AUGUST 2023 - Construction on Station 6 has made significant progress in the past several weeks. The shell of the building is complete, providing a sturdy and weather-resistant structure. Inside the station, the interior framing is now finished, giving shape to the various rooms and spaces.
The roofing process has begun, and the plumbing and electrical work are currently underway. As construction continues, we look forward to the next phases of masonry and mechanical work on this remarkable new fire house.

MARCH 2023 - Earthwork and groundwork are complete for Station 6, and electrical and water installations are completed successfully underground. The site is now prepared for the next stage of construction—the foundation. As soon as clear skies are consistently predicted, concrete will be poured for Station 6’s foundation.
We're excited to move forward with the next phase of construction and continue to make excellent progress. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
MAY 11, 2022 - Allen City Council approved a construction contract for Fire Station 6 in the amount of $11,247,190, not to exceed $14,974,976. Funds are sourced from $9.945 million approved by Allen voters during the 2016 bond election.
Located at Ridgeview Drive and Watters Road, the construction of Fire Station 6 will coincide with surrounding development along the SH-121 corridor to address the needs of the area's growing population.
As with all Allen fire stations, Station 6 is designed with its own unique vision. Station 6 will have an older nostalgic firehouse design, styled with New England architecture, decorative windows and folding doors. Fire Station 6 is the final station planned for Allen Fire Department.
