OCT. 25, 2022 - The Rowlett Water Tower and Custer Ground #2 water storage tank will soon receive new exterior paint and minor repairs.
Every year, water towers and water storage tanks must be inspected to ensure safety and proper conditions. This year, an independent inspection company determined these two facilities are in need of new exterior paint, which will help protect the surface of the water tanks, and minor repairs.
During the Oct. 25 meeting, Councilmembers approved an agreement for this repair and paint work to be conducted by J.R. Stelzer for $1,514,270.
Work is set to take place between November 2022 and Summer 2023.
The Allen Eagle displayed at the top of the Rowlett Water Tower will be repainted during this project.
