APRIL 11, 2023 - Allen Gateway Project’s second phase will soon begin, bringing landscaping and pedestrian improvements.
The second phase of this project includes enhanced landscaping, an illuminated pedestrian fence on the overpass and a refresh of the aging landscape along US 75 beneath the interchange.
This work will be funded entirely by Governor's Community Achievement Award funds and TxDOT “Green Ribbon” funds, requiring no additional financial investment from the city.
Phase one of this project reconstructed the North Allen Drive overpass above US 75, turning the interchange into an extended roundabout.
