JULY 11, 2023 - A new interlocal agreement has been approved by City Council, allowing the use of Collin County funds for the construction of Ridgeview Drive from Chelsea Boulevard to US 75.
In 2018, Collin County set aside bond funds for transportation projects in communities within the county. Last year, the City of Allen submitted an application for the Ridgeview Drive project, which was selected by the county for a funding agreement of nearly $3 million to be used for construction (or 50% of the actual cost, whichever is lower).
This section of Ridgeview Drive is expected to open upon the completion of the Ridgeview Drive/US 75 overpass.
