AUG. 8, 2023 - City Councilmembers called for a General Obligation Bond Election to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The bond election will be composed of five separate propositions, each of which were determined based on community planning and feedback at in-person meetings and tours and on the Engage Allen online engagement platform in May and June. The potential tax rate impact of these propositions was carefully considered during planning sessions. These propositions will not increase Allen’s tax rate.
The following are the propositions and dollar amounts that Allen voters will see on ballots in November:
- Proposition A - Street improvements, $47 million
- Proposition B - Ford Park improvements, $17 million
- Proposition C - Public art projects, $1.5 million
- Proposition D - Downtown revitalization, $8 million
- Proposition E - Police facilities, $83 million
