Allen City Council presents Blue Star Flags to the families of Allen service members currently deployed in the U.S. Armed Forces. The program honors the individuals serving our country while acknowledging the sacrifices of the families that are left behind. Originating in World War I, the Blue Star Flag is designed to hang in a front window of the family's home to reflect the service of those in the Armed Forces.
If you are an Allen resident and would like to receive a Blue Star Flag, please complete this application. Blue Star Flags are presented to families at the second City Council meeting held in January, March, May, July, September and November. City Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers located on the first floor of Allen City Hall.
Upon submission of this form, you will be contacted by the City Secretary's Office to schedule a time for your Blue Star Flag presentation.
