    1. Rebate Program Guidelines
      • Participant must currently own and have a City of Allen water utility account in good standing for the property where installation of qualifying item is to occur. This program is for owner-occupied residents only. Tenant and commercial requests are not eligible.
      • Qualified controllers: Rachio, Orbit B-Hyve, Netro Sprite, Rain Machine, Weathermatic, and Hunter Pro-HC. View a list of qualifying controllers can be found online at CityofAllen.org/Rebates.
      • Applications must be received within one year of purchase of eligible water conserving item. Rebates are processed in the order they are received and are first come, first served. Incomplete applications will not be processed until they are complete. All rebates are subject to the availability of funds. Please check CityofAllen.org/Rebates to ensure funds are available for your rebate.
      • A maximum of one (1) SMART controller may be rebated per year.
      • The rebate amount is $75 for the installation of qualifying SMART irrigation equipment.
      • No participant shall receive more than $500 in one year from the City of Allen rebate program for any combination of eligible items.
      • SMART IRRIGATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT DOES NOT EXEMPT RESIDENTS FROM THE CITY WATERING AND TIME OF DAY RESTRICTIONS. View the City Watering Schedule at CityofAllen.org/WateringDay.

      SMART Irrigation Controllers must meet all six qualifications listed below:

      1. Connect to local weather station via Wi-Fi or have an on-site weather station.
      2. Program each zone according to correct plant type, soil type, sprinkler nozzle type, sun/shade conditions and slope conditions.
      3. Program on only allowed watering days per neighborhood schedule. (No exceptions from watering restrictions are given for SMART controllers.)
      4. Give suggested run times for each zone that is adjustable.
      5. Turn off the system in the event of a rain or freeze condition.
      6. Water using the cycle-soak method.
    2. Rebate Program Instructions*

      Submit your rebate application online or in person with requested copies enclosed. Originals of all copies must be present should an onsite verification occur. Your request for rebate will be denied if: copies of original receipts are not provided, installation of device cannot be verified, or there is failure to comply with post installation and inspection (if needed).
